Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet landed in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
